SURROUNDINGS: BACHELOR ART PROJECT

My bachelor art project

For my bachelor’s thesis, I have created a video installation. “Surroundings” is a film installation (video art) that aims to tell the story of my creative process. Through the use of light, color, ambient sound, typography, and more, I attempt to convey my journey from fears and failures to creative outbursts and restless nights of experimentation. Writing has always been challenging for me due to my dyslexia, but I hope that my installation can tell my story in a more visual and auditory way.

 

The sound in the installation is composed of various archive sounds that I have brought together into a cohesive whole. “Surroundings” also refers to the environment and opinions around us. That’s why I used a 5.1 sound system to engage the viewer even more in the work. The narrative is not explanatory, but rather an explorative and inquisitive one.

 

With the help of this video installation, I want to present my work as my bachelor’s thesis for Narafi Luca School of Arts.
