Know Me

I'm Soul van Schaik, a filmmaker and creative producer based in Antwerp, working under Soul Production.

I studied Film & Television at LUCA School of Arts (NARAFI), where my graduation project, Surroundings  a three-screen art film installation with 5.1 surround sound won an Award of Merit.

​

Since graduating, I've worked across documentary, art film, brand content and event videography, with international work running through almost all of it. As creative producer at Vertigo Creative Studio, I worked on high-profile international events, including the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Venice Biennale and the Munich Security Conference, for clients such as Telenet. More recently, I've filmed a documentary for SOS Children's Villages in Burundi, documented artist Nils Verkaeren's work between Belgium, Mexico and Marokko, and produced brand and event films for clients across Belgium.

That mix of large-scale international events, documentary and art film shapes how I work today. I handle every stage myself, from the first conversation and concept, through filming, to the final edit — so the story stays consistent and you only ever need one point of contact, wherever the shoot takes place.
